One day my twin
sister applied for an internship to the museum of
modern art in New York City. She was very exited
about it. She told me that her main concern was the
telephone interview because we live in Puerto Rico
and the last interview would be held by phone.
A couple of weeks
later I was at work at 9:00 am in the morning and I
started to feel anxious; so nervous that I started
shaking. My friend and co-worker looked at me
and said “What is happening?”
I said that I didn't
know was what going on. I felt that my body was
responding to someone else. It wasn't mine at all.
That strange feeling
persisted for about 15 minutes. Then it was gone
completely, just like that. One minute later my twin
sister was on the phone and said, "Hey I just had my
internship interview ... I felt so cool, calm and
collected that I didn't recognize myself." The
interview lasted 15 minutes.
Then I said to her,
“Of course you felt that way, I was the one with a
nervous attack without any reason!” Then there was
silence on the phone. She laughed and said "Thank
you!"
We call it the
freaky twin sister thing each time something like
that happens to us.
