Two 15-year-old twins each share their
stories ...
Christine's Story
Kristina and I have connections that go
on and off on randomly. It happens very
quickly for a couple of seconds. On one
occasion, we were going to walk to an art
supply store so that I can pick up a
sketchbook. As I was stepping out of the
house, I felt a pinch on my heart. If felt
like a needle pricking on my heart. It
wasn't dangerous to me because my friend
explained to me why that happens. The next
day, when we were cooking udon in the
kitchen, my curiosity hit me. I knew I had
to talk to Kristina about it, so I did. I
asked her very specifically with good detail
about what happened to me.
"Kristina, when we were stepping out of
the door, you know when we were going to
walk to A.C. Moore? Did you feel a sharp
pain?" I said.
"Kristina
stared at me for a moment. She shook her head firmly
and replied, "Yeah. Uh-huh." I knew this was the
twin telepathy thing, so I questioned her again.
"Where did
you feel it?" Kristina placed her hand on her heart
and I got the chills! It was the correct spot! I
told her, "That's where I had it too!"
"Really?" she said. "Cool! It's Twin Telepathy!"
Kristina and I want to show everyone the
special bond and uniqueness of having a
twin. A lot of people think that when you're
a twin, you have the advantage to switch
places. That's true since Kristina and I
have done it before, but that's not all to
being a twin. Being a twin has it's
responsibilities. You have to respect,
trust, and support the other no matter what
the situation is because your twin is a
piece of you and without the "other you",
you wouldn't be a whole.
Kristina's Story
Christine is my one minute older twin
sister. We share everything from rooms to
television.
Our connection is weak, but it is
increasing. We can sometimes read each
other's minds, finish off each other's
sentences, and pretty much order the same
food in restaurants. Sometimes, Christine
and I would get the same thoughts or ideas,
but sometimes it can be varied a little in
some ways. We do not always agree on some
terms, but we agree on most things often.
We've been through tough times together
but managed to survive it all.
She is my best, most truest, and only
friend. Sure we have very few friends, but I
consider her to be my only friend because I
am starting to get increasingly persecuted
by being surrounded by others that I now
limit myself to a quantity of people.
