In
November of 2006 I was having real problems with my
female parts. I had an ultrasound that revealed a
large tumor on my left ovary. The doctors started to
do tests that would show if it was cancer or not.
The day I went in for the blood work, I was very
shaky and unsure.
Later
that night while talking with my mom she suggested I
talk with my twin brother and perhaps he could offer
me some comfort.
The next
day I called him and told him I needed to talk and
he said he wanted to tell me something too. I let
him go first...he told me the doctors had found a
large tumor on his left testicle and he was being
tested for cancer!
I
couldn't believe it. I almost didn't want to tell
him then that I was going through the same thing but
I did.
We
offered comfort to each other. A few days later when
the tests came back, I was cleared of this life
threatening disease and we planned my surgery to
remove the tumor.
When I
talked with Jackie later that day he said his news
was good also. Though he was found to have
testicular cancer, they told him it has a 100% cure
rate and they wanted to do his surgery right away.
I
believe that we survive today because we had a lot
of prayer behind us. God gave us to each other and I
am thankful.
