Twins run in my family and in my husband's family.
In mine they run about every third generation,
however, I was a product of the disappearing twin
syndrome.
My husband's family it's every generation including
him, his mom, his grandma, his grandfather's
brothers, and so on.
When I found out I was pregnant with my second
pregnancy I thought something was horribly wrong. I
had never felt so sick in my life! I decided to see
the doctor right away.
As soon as the test came back positive the doctor
set up an ultrasound for me. The ultrasound was
scheduled for April 1st. The night before the
ultrasound I had a dream of being told that we were
having twins, but I just laughed it off.
That day at work I even joked with everyone that
because it was April Fool's Day they were going to
try and tell me I would have twins or something.
That day at the ultrasound I got a sense of Deja Vu
... everything seemed familiar to me.
Then right before she said the words it hit me
TWINS! It had happened just like in my dreams That
was the longest car ride home my husband and I ever
had.
When we finally called our family members who live
too far away to see the pictures, none of them
believed us because it was April 1st! We had to call
them all back the next day and reassure them it was
true! Now every April 1st we look back and smile!
