I am the mother of 26-year-old identical twin sons. And, I had a daughter born 15 months after the twins arrived. Yes, I was very busy.

About two years ago my daughter, now married, came out to visit and was complaining about heartburn and indigestion and being constantly tired and moody. I told her that was easy to explain because she was pregnant with twins.

My daughter was shocked because she didn't even realize that she was pregnant. She called me the next morning and told me the pregnancy test was positive. I said I know that and there are at least two in there, and who knows maybe three.

She went for her first exam and the doctor confirmed her pregnancy and sent her for an ultrasound and sure enough there were two little babies in there. They tried to tell her that the babies were fraternal and I told her the babies are identical twin boys so don't buy anything pink. She didn't believe me.

Finally after a few more weeks the sonogram revealed that she was definitely going to have twin boys. The little boys were born one week after my birthday so I certainly consider them to be special gifts in my life. What a unique blessing to be a mother to twin sons and a grandmother to twin grandsons.
