My twin and I are so close we both wrote a twin
story on this website today. I guess you could say
my twin and I are exactly the same. We do everything
together. We dress the same without telling each
other what we are going to wear. What was really
weird was when my twin and I were both five years
old and my twin went with his little friend to Patagonia
Lake in Nogales. While he was up there he had
fallen and hit his head right on top of his right
eyebrow and had seven stitches.
On that exact same day when he hit his head, so did
I. But I hit my head on a table and had to get seven
stitches, too. That was weird - we both were scarred
in the exact same spot. On May 20, 2001 my twin
brother had back surgery for a broken bone in his
back from a fall onto his butt that smashed a bone.
When they took him to the back to get him started I
could feel him panicking because of his fright, and
I started freaking out. I had to get examined to see
what went wrong with me, and the doctor told my
parents that I could feel my brother’s pain.
The way they found that out was when the next day
came and my brother woke up and tried to get up and
he was in severe pain and I could feel it. Then the
doctor set us next to each other and he pushed on my
brothers opening where they did surgery on him and I
screamed in pain for him to stop.
That was the day I found out that my twin and I were
closer than I thought. We could actually feel each
other’s pain. Since then we do everything together
and hopefully we will be able to write a book about
our lives and how it is to be a twin who can feel
the other twin’s pain.
