My twin sister and I
are third generation twins (our father has a twin
sister and our maternal grandmother is an identical
twin). When my own twins (boy/girl) were born, my
sister was in the waiting room while I was in the
operating room.
When I was taken
back to my room and my sister and mom joined me, my
sister asked me what time the twins were born. When
I told her the times she and my mom shot each other
a "look. " Then my mom told me that at the moment
the first baby was born my sister had grabbed a
stranger's arm in the waiting room and announced
that her sister had just had a baby.
Apparently the twin
ESP is true because there is no way she could have
known this from where she was.
On a different twin
subject, I filled out the twin questionnaire and
where it asked for me to select either identical or
fraternal, I couldn't choose an answer because I
don't believe my sister and I fall into either of
those categories.
When we were born we
shared a placenta, but we have different blood types
- the doctors dissected the placenta to see if it
was fused and it was not. I have been told that
there is a name for this type of twin but I have no
idea what it is and would like to find out if that's
true and what it is.
