One
evening, my family, consisting of six children plus
parents, went to Wal-Mart for a shopping adventure.
We were all allowed to venture out on our own, as
long as we meet back at a specific time and place.
I walked
around the store with my identical twin for the
majority of the time, but we eventually parted
company.
When it
came time for the family to gather at the front of
the store, my sister didn't show. While my family
paged her and waited up front, I was given
permission to quickly run through the store to see
if I could spot her.
I was
aggravated and worried as I looked past clothing
racks and started to check the aisles, when I caught
a glimpse of her. I turned around and stood at the
end of the aisle, and proceeded to fuss her out, "
Jennifer, where have you been! I have been looking
everywhere for you ..." noticing that she was
performing the same exaggerated movements I was, I
got angry and said "...stop doing that!"
Then I
caught the eye of a bewildered customer and took
inventory of the situation. I could feel my face
turn red and I ran from the area when I discovered
that I was looking at my own reflection in a mirror
that had been placed at the end of the aisle.
When I
reached the front of the store, my sister and family
were waiting on me. I didn't tell them what had
happened until after we left. When I revealed what
had happened, everyone busted out laughing and
teased me for weeks.
